Case Manager, Integrity and Corruption Risks (m/f/d)

At the next possible date we are looking for you as a Case Manager, Integrity and Corruption Risks (m/f/d).

The position is located in the DRK headquarters in Berlin in the International Cooperation Division of the GRC General Secretariat in Berlin.

The position is anchored in the International Cooperation Division of the GRC General Secretariat and is assigned to the Integrity and Safeguarding Unit. The Unit supports the international work of the GRC in corruption prevention and preventative safeguarding measures. Furthermore, the unit is responsible for the case management and investigation regarding misconduct in GRC’s international projects. dealing with complaints and cases, and in the practical development of prevention and response mechanisms in an international and movement-wide context.

In this role, your focus will be on operational case management on integrity issues and corruption risks. They process reports and complaints, carry out structured initial assessments, coordinate the course of cases and, where necessary, participate in analyses and administrative investigations. In addition, you will support briefings, training, risk assessments and the further development of tools and processes. Safeguarding is a supporting part of the job, but not the focus of the position.

The employment is full-time (39 hours/week). The employment offer is initially limited to 2 years.

Your task:

You will play a central operational role in the structured handling of cases in the area of integrity and corruption risks in the international cooperation of the GRC.

In detail, this means:

  • You will receive complaints, information and reports and ensure structured, confidential and comprehensible documentation.
  • You will categorize cases, carry out initial assessments and support the coordination of the further course of cases.
  • You will participate in administrative investigations and case-related analyses, in particular through document analysis, interview preparation, conversation documentation and report preparation.
  • You will check procurement, financial and other case-relevant documents and prepare results in a way that is appropriate for the addressees.
  • You will support conversations and interviews in the context of the case as well as the preparation of notes, statements, reports and presentations.
  • You will participate in visits and audits in the partner or supplier context.
  • You will conduct briefings for new staff as well as debriefings for departing staff.
  • You will support basic training on integrity, corruption prevention and related topics.
  • You will maintain the gift and conflict of interest database and support risk assessments as well as the further development of guidelines, tools and templates.
  • You will work together with other Red Cross/Red Crescent organizations and support subject-related exchange and coordination formats in the field of case management.
  • You will also take on organisational and administrative tasks in the subject area.

Your profile:

  • Completed university degree in a relevant field, for example law, criminology, economics, international relations, political science, social sciences, public administration, finance, accounting, audit, procurement, or comparable.
  • Training or certification in case and investigation management or fraud prevention (e.g. "Certified Fraud Examiner" or comparable)
  • First relevant professional experience in case management, internal investigations, integrity or anti-corruption work, audit, finance, procurement, law or comparable fields of work
  • Experience in a humanitarian, development or international environment is a strong plus
  • Experience in the Red Cross/Red Crescent context is an advantage
  • Very good written and spoken English skills
  • Knowledge of German is an advantage; other languages are a plus
  • Analytical strength and high diligence in handling sensitive information
  • Ability to prepare facts in writing in a clear, precise and addressee-oriented manner
  • Discretion, integrity and structured work
  • Intercultural communication skills and a confident appearance in sensitive conversation situations
  • Willingness to travel internationally, even at short notice and in challenging contexts
  • Willingness to conduct briefings, debriefings and basic training
  • Confident handling of MS Office; Experience with digital case management or documentation systems is an advantage
  • Additional qualifications in the field of investigations, fraud prevention, auditing or risk analysis are welcome
