The pioneering clinical application of electrohydraulic extracorporeal high-energy shockwaves was in 1980 in lithotripsy – offering a non-invasive method for the treatment of kidney stones. Since the discovery of the great potential of low-energy shockwave therapy for tissue regeneration, many other indications have been added, and the development is continuously on the rise.
At MTS Medical, we are committed advocates of electrohydraulic shockwave technology and have since been among the first providers of this low-energy therapy.
MTS continues to unravel the potential of this original shockwave technology. The innovative and advanced version is known today as MTS Spark Wave – a game changer in modern medicine.
